Die Lebensgeschichte des am 19. Februar 1957 geborenen Wieners führt über die frühe Entdeckung seiner musikalischen Begabung und die Szenebands "Hallucination Company" und "Drahdiwaberl" zu seinen großen internationalen Erfolgen als Falco. Der Film zeigt den Erfolgsdruck und die große Erwartungshaltung der Musikbranche ebenso wie die öffentliche Person Falco, aber auch die zerbrechliche, private Seite dieses großen österreichischen Künstlers.
